About Rokiwaste

Rokiwaste has been at the core of the waste minimisation and recycling industry since 2018.

We support most of South Africa’s largest waste companies with intelligence and waste processing equipment, such as waste balers, shredders and other technology. Rokiwaste provides both standard and bespoke waste minimisation and processing solutions, nationwide.

Without waste minimisation, vehicles with minimal payloads will continue to pollute the environment. Waste minimisation and compaction offer better payloads, higher revenue generation per shift, job creation opportunities and environmental sustainability.

Waste minimisation is a key element to the sustainability and growth of the recycling industry.

Why partner with Rokiwaste?

Our Solar Baler Innovation

The Rokiwaste Solar Baler Range is a highlight of recent innovation. Directly driven by sunlight and solar-charged batteries, the baler can provide a remote recycling facility with a small to medium baling solution, saving the time and money required for the relevant fixed infrastructure. This enables waste recyclers at remote locations to be included in the circular economy and sustain themselves through baled recyclable sales.

Rokiwaste was the first and currently the only company in South Africa able to design and supply solar baler technology.

FAQS

What is the best waste compactor for warehouses?
The best compactor depends on the volume and type of waste your warehouse produces. Rokiwaste supplies static and portable compactors that drastically reduce waste volume, cut collection costs, and improve site cleanliness. Our engineers assess your space and recommend the right fit.
One way to do this is to reduce costs by compacting or baling waste at the source. This means fewer collections, lower transport fees, and better recycling recovery. Rokiwaste balers and compactors are designed to handle high volumes in FMCG and manufacturing facilities.
Rokiwaste is a leading supplier of premium balers across South Africa and Africa. Our machines meet international standards and are backed by expert local support, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective performance.
Yes. We supply a full range of recycling equipment including balers, compactors, shredders, and engineered waste separation systems. Whether you’re managing a retail property, distribution centre, or residential estate, we design solutions that fit your site.
Shredders destroy faulty, expired, or branded products so they don’t re-enter the market. This protects your reputation while reducing bulky waste for easier handling and recycling. Rokiwaste shredders are heavy-duty, safe, and built for high throughput.
Dewatering systems remove liquid from waste, making it lighter, safer, and cheaper to transport. They’re especially useful in food and beverage industries where wet waste is common. Rokiwaste engineers design dewatering solutions to suit your operation.

Yes. With a Rokiwaste baler, cardboard and plastic can be compacted into neat, transport-ready bales. This reduces storage space, lowers costs, and makes it easier to sell recyclables to buy-back centres.

The most effective approach is using compactors and balers designed for high-volume operations. These machines minimise downtime, reduce collection costs, and keep busy environments clear of loose waste. Rokiwaste has solutions tailored to DCs and logistics hubs.
Factories benefit most from a mix of compactors and balers to handle packaging waste, faulty stock, and recyclables. Depending on the waste stream, shredders or dewatering units may also be required. Rokiwaste provides tailored solutions for FMCG production.
Yes. Not all operations can use off-the-shelf machines. Rokiwaste engineers design custom systems such as waste separation lines, dewatering units, and site-specific configurations to ensure your waste is managed efficiently and safely.
Yes. Every installation includes professional training for your team to ensure safe and efficient operation. Our engineers show operators exactly how to run, maintain, and troubleshoot the equipment.
Rokiwaste offers full after-sales support, including scheduled servicing, breakdown assistance, and ongoing advice. Our local team is available to keep your machines running with minimal downtime.
It depends on the volume of waste processed, but most machines should be serviced at least once a year. Rokiwaste provides tailored maintenance schedules to suit your usage, ensuring maximum reliability and lifespan.
Absolutely. We understand that no two facilities are the same, so we create service plans tailored to your site, your waste volumes, and your equipment mix.
Our engineers can be dispatched quickly to diagnose and repair issues. Because downtime costs money, we aim to resolve breakdowns fast and keep your operation running.

Yes. We supply high-quality strapping, wire, and other consumables designed to work seamlessly with our balers. This ensures consistent bale performance and reduces the risk of machine issues caused by poor-quality materials.

Yes. Many of our clients set up recurring orders so they never run out of strapping or wire. This ensures uninterrupted baler operation and avoids last-minute supply issues.
Generic strapping or wire often causes problems with tension, strength, or compatibility. Rokiwaste-supplied consumables are tested for performance with our machines, ensuring stronger bales, less wear-and-tear, and fewer stoppages.
